Lip Botox

What is Lip Botox?

Lip Botox is performed by injecting botulinum toxin under the skin to eliminate wrinkles and lines above the lips. For those sensitive to pain, an anesthetic cream is applied to the injection area during the Botox procedure. Upper lip lines, also known as smoker’s lines, and lower lip wrinkles are treated with this application.

How is Lip Botox Performed?

Upper Lip Botox: The main purpose of applying Botox to the upper lip is to treat vertical lines. Upper lip Botox is the preferred method for fine, vertical lines.

Lower Lip Botox: Botox treatment for the lower lip is for downward-facing lines. The dosage used for Botox in the lips is extremely important.

Situations Requiring Lip Botox

Problems that necessitate Botox for the lips sometimes arise from certain habits, while other times they are a result of aging.

Some people experience drooping corners of the lips.
Smokers develop smoker’s lines.
In some cases, the blurring of the lip contour may require Botox.
A decrease in lip volume can also necessitate Botox.
Apart from all these, skin problems and irregularities on the lips can also lead to a need for Botox.
Botox is administered to both the upper and lower lips. The purpose of each is different.

Are There Risks to Lip Botox? Is it Harmful?

Lip Botox treatment is no different from other Botox applications. The harms and risks of Botox are frequently asked questions. To date, research has shown that when Botox is applied to the lips in the correct dose and by a qualified professional, no side effects or harm have been observed.
